Tapper Pins
The Tapper pin connects the gear hub, collar, or pulley to the shaft. For standard sizes, these solid cylindrical rods have a uniform taper of 1/4 inch per foot. Since bevel pins are used in everything from clutch assemblies to lathes to bicycle gears, they come in different sizes and materials. Some are threaded at one end to accommodate the nut.
